Our Mission.
At Umeed, we are driven by a passionate mission – to make a profound difference in the battle against cancer. We collaborate with dedicated South Asian and African NGOs, uniting our efforts to raise both awareness and critical funds for cancer patients in lower to middle-income countries. Our central aim is to foster comprehensive awareness about the cancer burden in these regions while also securing substantial resources to support patients worldwide.
We are proud of our strategic partnerships with impactful NGOs, committed to alleviating the financial burden of cancer treatment for families. Furthermore, we are resolute in our dedication to education, advocating for increased awareness of the dual challenges that cancer care poses in low-income countries through engaging events and initiatives.
Our Vision.
Cancer is a growing crisis in the developing world. Two decades ago, the percentage of new cancer cases in developed and developing countries was roughly equal. Today, over 55 percent of new cases originate in developing nations, and this number is steadily increasing. Shockingly, more than 70 percent of cancer-related deaths occur in low and middle-income countries.
In response to this global health crisis, Umeed has emerged as a beacon of hope. We are committed to changing these statistics, and through a multi-faceted approach, we’re striving to make a real impact.
